Boiled Egg, Green Onion & Bonito Onigiri

Use up a make-ahead boiled egg in this hearty onigiri. Bonito-flake umami pairs with chopped green onion, and mentsuyu pulls the seasoning together.

  • Egg1
  • Bonito flakes1 packet (2 g)
  • Chopped green onion3 tbsp
  • Dashi granules1/2 tsp
  • Mentsuyu (3x concentrate)1 tbsp

Steps

    Peel the boiled egg and cut it lengthwise in half.

    Combine the rice, chopped green onion, bonito flakes, dashi granules, and mentsuyu in a bowl. Mix well.
